Not all college saving vehicles are the same, especially when it comes to fees.

CollegeBound Saver has low average costs, so more of your money can keep growing for college. The annual asset-based fees for the new investment options will depend on which investments you choose. The pricing range will differ depending on your state of residence:

  • For Rhode Island resident account owners and/or beneficiaries: 0.04%–0.70%. For example, invest $1,000 and the annual fee can be as low as $0.40.
  • For non-Rhode Island resident account owners and/or beneficiaries: 0.29%–0.85%. For example, invest $1,000 and the annual fee can be as low as $2.90.

Other features that make college saving easier include:

  • No minimums. You decide what amount you can contribute.
  • High maximums. Contribute up to a total of $395,000 per beneficiary for accounts in all 529 plans sponsored by the State of Rhode Island.
